To be bold, gifted, and Black!
Finally, let's add some flavor to my brand.

Brief 🧽
Create a brand experience for a cleaning company that actually feels cool. Clean Humans, a Portland-based, Latina-founded cleaning service, wanted to ditch the clinical, corporate vibe and create a fresh, friendly identity rooted in modern branding, environmental care, and human-first storytelling. The founder specifically referenced Graza (yes, the olive oil brand) as an inspiration: visually playful, conversational, and deeply values-driven.
The challenge? Most cleaning brands are either forgettable or sterile. Our job was to help this one stand out and resonate with people who wouldn’t normally care about a cleaning service.
We set out to build a tone that people want to talk about. Something that feels like a breath of fresh air in a space full of bleach and jargon.
My Role: Brand voice development, full copywriting, language strategy, and creating a throughline for the site content that translated the founder’s vibe into something actionable and digestible.
Execution Included:
Devising an ownable tone of voice that speaks to ease, realness, and care — without feeling cheesy or forced
Writing and structuring all major site pages including:
Home (tagline, welcome message, mission)
About Us (brand story, point of view, values)
Services (CARE, CLEAR, COMPLETE, CUSTOM, and CHANGEOVER)
Booking Flow (simplified steps, clean UX-aligned copy)
Contact Us (real human language, not bots)
Earth Mindfulness (eco-values and transparency language)
FAQs, Team, Audience Fit ("Who Loves Us")
Shaping service descriptions with personality and clarity (e.g., “We Clean Spaces & Clear Minds” and “Not looking for the full works?”)
Introducing accessibility and eco-conscious phrasing around conventional vs. non-toxic cleaning options
Creating connective copy that guides visitors through the site with warmth and intentionality
Result 🧼
The full site is set to launch soon, but the internal brand rollout has already helped align the team around a shared tone and mission. We’ve:
Positioned Clean Humans as the cleaning company people actually want to talk about
Created an approachable brand that makes it easy to understand services, pricing, and the team’s values
Helped turn a functional service into a lifestyle-aligned experience
Until it’s live, here’s a peek at some copy that made the cut:
“Welcome to Clean Humans, where home cleaning feels refreshing and effortless. Our mission is to create harmonious spaces bringing personalized care so your home feels as balanced as your life. "
“CHANGEOVER - Move in/out Clean
For movers, shakers, and deposit savers. Your next chapter with a fresh start. “
“It’s not about perfection. It’s about creating spaces that feel good for those living in them, one clean human at a time.
You’re always welcome here.”
